My name is Olga Scott and I've truly the finest job in the world. I’m a culinary historian and writer. I enjoy thinking and writing about, and cooking different kinds of food! I learned international cooking from four of the best cooks in my country, and  one of my teachers at cooking school taught me the wonders of slow cooking cuisine, the delicious and tasty meals we can get through the simmering process.

Although I am a native Carolinian, I have always had a particular admiration in my heart for the people and food of Pelican State. Cajun and Creole food preparation is one of my areas of expertise, and you will discover quite a few  good recipes with a Louisiana flavor in my blog.

I really like the amazing wide variety of food available in my native region, everything from European cuisine to Asian and American to the fantastic seasonings of African and Caribbean cooking .
